Anne Celeste Heche is an American actress who is known for her wide variety of roles across film as well as television and the stage. Anne did not want the role of Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's Halloween 1978. Jaime Lee Curtis later played the part. Carpenter says that the actress declined his invitation to play Laurie Strode. Anne does not remember being being contacted by John Carpenter nor being offered the role. The possibility is that her agent turned it off without notifying Anne. Glen Larson, who had sent her the very first draft script of a character of the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, first chose her. At first, she turned down the role because she thought it was too weak. Glen wrote an entirely new character for her called Sheba that was more powerful. After she read the first 25 pages of the script The Living Legend she accepted immediately. The show lasted for just one season. The show was cancelled after one season.
